Fast Food Hall of Shame: BK's Enormous Omelet Sandwich


I give credit to Burger King for not trying to disguise their fast food mentality by hyping a new salad or veggie burger. Through all the well-deserved scrutiny that fast food giants are getting, BK basically says "Screw it" and keeps topping the "terrible for your health" charts with artery-clogging torpedoes like this bad boy!


Calories 730 (vs. less than 400 calories from the following healthy breakfast choice : 2 whole eggs, 1 slice of lightly-buttered, whole wheat toast and a piece of fresh fruit)
Fat 45g (this is like eating a 1/2 stick or 4 tablespoons of butter)
Saturated Fat 17g (arteries must shiver when they see this coming down the food tube. We're talking 3 teaspoons of pure saturated fat!)
Cholesterol 330mg (exceeds the DAILY value for cholesterol!)
Protein 37g
Carbs 44g (equivalent to 1 cup cooked pasta)
Sugars 8g
Sodium 1940mg (nearly matches the DAILY value for sodium which is 2500mg!)
